Scheidt & Bachmann equips Augsburg Klinikum with Car Park Management System

The parking areas at the Augsburg Klinikum and Klinikum Süd have been equipped with a Car Park Management System of Scheidt & Bachmann. About 2,300 parking lots are distributed over 10 car parks. 13 entries and 15 exits ensure traffic free from jams on and when leaving the clinic area. 8 automatic pay stations are distributed through the generous surface area and can thus be reached on short routes from the parking lots.
At entries and exits, the staff members of the clinic make use of their existing staff cards on Legic basis to perform time recording and access control as usual. The data of the Legic cards is saved in the Car Park Management System and will be read by the control devices.

The benefit for the staff members is that they can use the same card for several functions.
A separate tariff has been introduced for staff members and visitors who want to use the parking lots through an extended period of time: the Best-price calculation. On conclusion of a contract, the user decides on a master car park or on additional master parking areas that he wants to make use of. A maximum parking fee will be determined. Having reached the maximum fee, the staff member may either continue to use his master car park or may park on a parking lot area that he has decided before, without causing any additional parking fee. Should he use another parking lot, he would have to pay for additional parking times in addition to the maximum parking fee. This tariff model will, firstly, keep the search for a free parking lot as short as possible. Secondly, the maximum parking fees to be paid when using the master car park are known before, and attractive parking areas near the clinic will not be busy all the time.
The Car Park Management System of the Augsburg Klinikum is interlinked to the centre office of the operator APCOA in Stuttgart via a Navision interface.

Scheidt & Bachmann was enabled to equip two other car parks of Messrs. Contipark in the Augsburg inner city with a Car Park Management System, at the same time. Thus, Scheidt & Bachmann is a name of great presence in the City of Augsburg.
