Mobile park and pay - Scheidt & Bachmann launches payment app “heidelberg PARKEN”

In collaboration with municipal car park authorities, system provider Scheidt & Bachmann has launched the payment app “heidelberg PARKEN”. The free app is available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

“heidelberg PARKEN” is an app that makes life easier for motorists: the inconvenience of having to queue at a vending machine is a thing of the past, as parking tickets can now be scanned conveniently by smartphone and then paid via PayPal or by entering a credit card number. The payment information is then displayed in the app.

The app also provides information on car parks run by the local authority Stadtwerke Heidelberg Garagen and shows current vacant spaces available. One of the app’s particularly convenient features is a parking space memory aid – enabling drivers to save time when looking for their car.

The parking app bears the individual branding of the car park operator, thereby generating customer loyalty among end users.
