First automatic pay station installed in India

Scheidt & Bachmann has installed the first automatic pay station in Bangalore, India. Together with their partner, Central Parking Service India (CPS), Scheidt & Bachmann was given the task of supplying the shopping mall, “1MG ROAD – A STARCENTRE” with a parking management system. The system, based on ChipCoin technology, is made up of an entrance, an exit and an automatic pay station.

The special thing about this machine is that it only accepts bank notes. Visitors have a choice of 300 parking spaces over two floors. The facility was put into operation in May 2012. The operator of the car park has already fitted out his “Select Citywalk” facility in New Delhi with Scheidt & Bachmann equipment and has once again put his trust in the performance and easy operation of entervo, the innovative parking management system.

The shopping mall, “1MG ROAD – A STARCENTRE” is counted as one of the most attractive shopping centres in India and is situated in a popular tourist area, right next to several 5-star hotels. “It was particularly important for us to install a high-end parking system in this exclusive area. Our sophisticated customers would not accept anything less,” said Mr Sathyanarayanan, Managing Director of CPS India. “We selected Scheidt & Bachmann as a partner because we know that, with them, we can rely on a competent team with a high level of technical experience, and entervo completely fulfills our requirements for a modern parking management system at the shopping mall.”
