Sales new Waterside car park sets new standards of customer service and technology
The new 5 million, 440- space multi-storey car park at The Waterside, Sale, Greater Manchester, is setting new, high standards for car parking in the town.
For the first time customers have a range of services, including the loan of baby buggies and umbrellas, as well as very competitive prices starting from free for short term parking.
The new car park has 11 split levels, and incorporates the traditional benefits of Q-Park: safety and security; wide, open and clearly marked parking spaces; smooth and comfortable surfaces; and some of the very latest technology.
The car park is manned by uniformed Q-Park hosts in conjunction with a secure entry and exit technology for vehicles and pedestrians, and it incorporates the latest CCTV security surveillance, which is linked to a 24/7 manned control centre. The hosts also hold, and are trained to operate, a defibrillator machine, a battery jump start kit, tyre compressor/inflator, and a shoe cleaning machine.
Externally and internally the new car park carries the distinctive design of all Q-Park car parks creating a well-lit, safe and secure, and welcoming environment for all users. On the outside the car park features stainless steel mesh with feature lighting and brick panels, with a high quality glazed main staircase frontage. Inside, the ground floor has block paviours and on the roof and other floors the well-spaced parking areas have been paved with Q-Parks grey with charcoal epoxy coating parking pads.
The car park complements the new Waterside development a 24 million redevelopment by Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, including a new civic centre and a complex of affordable homes next to the car park, meeting the need for both new housing and new parking facilities.
Alan Ashbee, Chief Executive of Q-Park, says: We are extremely pleased to deliver another showcase quality parking facility in the UK. The new car park will carry the Q-Park brand and its inherent benefits of safety and security for customers. Lighting, high quality clean surfaces, large, well-marked parking areas and professional customer service are integral features of all Q-Park car parks.
