Q-PARK PRESENTS NEW SERVICES FOR PARKERS!

Parking company Q-Park is known for its clean, safe, well-lit and comfortable parking facilities. Q-Park is now taking comfort to a higher level by introducing a number of unique extra services. These services will not only enable drivers to park more comfortably, but will also help them reach their destination in more comfort.

Getting customers on their way quickly and comfortably

umbrella_thumb.jpgWard Vleugels, Board Chairman of Q-Park, illustrates what these extra services entail with a few examples: “It’s happened to all of us: you always keep an umbrella in your car except for that one rainy afternoon when you need to walk into town. Now you have the convenience of being able to borrow an umbrella from Q-Park free of charge. Another situation: your car is parked at a Q-Park car park. When you go to pick up your car, you notice that the battery is dead. Luckily the parking host has a battery charger on hand to help get you on your way quickly.” These are only a few examples of the extra services Q-Park is offering at its parking facilities. Also available are loan prams and alcohol testers. Soon there will also be vending machines where customers can buy snacks and beverages for the road.

Taking customer-friendliness one step further

batterycharger_thumb.jpgThe idea for the extra services was born out of Q-Park’s customer focus approach. Ward continues, “People want to park their car close to their destination in a safe and clean environment. So we’ve designed our parking facilities to meet that need. Now we’re taking it a step further by offering customers a variety of other services at our car parks. After all, time is money and a little luxury couldn’t hurt. A trial run of these services in several of our parking facilities was received with great enthusiasm!”

Check out and test services ‘live’ at Intertraffic

buggy_thumb.jpgThe extra services offered by Q-Park had their official launch at the international trade show Intertraffic Amsterdam 2006, where they were not only introduced but also could be tested out ‘live’. The battery chargers and loan umbrellas will be introduced as standard features of all staffed Q-Park parking facilities in Europe this autumn. The other services will become available in the medium-sized and large urban centres. The deluxe Q-Park parking facilities in the largest urban centres will also be equipped with a handy information screen at the gatehouse, where customers can follow major news and traffic updates live before going on their way.
