Q-Park invests L2 million in Manchester centre parking
Award-winning UK parking operator Q-Park Ltd. has invested L2 million in the refurbishment of two of its seven Manchester based parking sites with further investment plans develop the remaining five over the next two years.
This L2 million investment and the completion of the refurbishment of Q-Park’s Piazza, a well-known underground site in the heart of Manchester’s Chinatown, is being acknowledged at a high profile launch event taking place at Piazza, 30th June which will be hosted by CEO Alan Ashbee and President of The Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gerry Yeung, who also owns the famous Yang Sing Chinese restaurant located next to the car park.
Located underground, the Piazza car park is probably one of the UK’s more famous car parks, having been featured in a number of BBC and Granada television productions, including Cold Feet. Piazza’s unique clean and spacious interior features “Q-Park Red” walls, wider parking bays and special lighting, unique to the Q-Park house design. As well as investing L1.7 million in the refurbishment of The Piazza, Q-Park has just completed the building of a 340 space underground car park opposite St Mary’s Hospital and also operates four car parks in the Piccadilly Basin area of Manchester - a total of 880 spaces split across Dale Street, Port Street, Ducie Street and Great Ancoats Street. Although a relative new-comer to the UK parking industry, Q-Park Ltd won Overall Winner at this year’s British Parking Awards. The company is gaining reputation as one of the leading organisations in the industry, setting high standards and delivering unrivalled quality to the UK parking public.
