Q-Park expands at Belfast Airport in Northern Ireland
Q-Park, the top-5 player in the European parking market and market leader in the Netherlands has announced that they will take over the 8000 space car parking operation at Belfast International Airport in Northern Ireland.
International strategic hub
In international terms Belfast International Airport is an important hub, for both business and consumer air traffic. Ward Vleugels, Chairman of the Executive Board says “This is a prime location for Q-Park. We have planned a number of strategic changes which will give visitors better quality, value for money and more flexibility in airport parking”.
Continuing Investment in Northern Ireland
This move represents Q-Parks continued investment in Northern Ireland and follows the recent announcement of Q-Park’s acquisition of a 1,000 space car parking facility at Victoria Square the £300 million complex in the heart of Belfast City Centre which will open in 2008.Q-Park owns, manages and runs — fully, or in combination — multi-storey car parks. In recent years, interests in Europe have been rapidly expanded with strong market positions in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, England, Ireland and Denmark.
