Q-Park achieves a RoSPA Award
Q-Park has achieved a Bronze Health & Safety Award from RoSPA the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. This is the first ever RoSPA Award given to a car park operator and is testament to Q-Parks commitment in providing exceptional quality standards and ensuring that a safe environment is constantly maintained.
The prestigious award is granted to companies that have shown a positive approach to Health & Safety and its management over the past two years. It was awarded to Q-Park in recognition of the company’s absolute commitment to ensuring a clean, safe and secure environment for both customers and staff at all its car-parking sites.
Q-Park’s Quality Manager, Clive Comport, said: “We have been working very hard on achieving and maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety across the company, and it’s fantastic to have our efforts recognised in this way. Health & Safety is an integral part of the quality service that we offer our customers and differentiates us from our competitors. We are aiming to achieve a RoSPA Gold Award in 2006, which assesses performance over four a year period, and I am sure that all Q-Park employees continuing dedication to quality standards will get us there”.
ChildLine gets support from Q-Park Ltd.
The organisation, which provides a 24-hour helpline service for children and young people, has been given a complimentary parking space at Q-Park’s Candleriggs car park in Glasgow, close to ChildLine Scotland’s office.ChildLine will be able to use the secure parking facilities at Q-Park Candleriggs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is of great relief to the volunteers, enabling them to feel safe & secure whilst parking & returning to their car late at night or during the early hours of the morning.
Zoey Faulkner, Senior Fundraiser at ChildLine Scotland said: “We are very grateful to Q-Park for supplying us with a year’s pass. Every penny we can save on running costs can go back into our vital helpline service for children and young people. When you consider that it costs ChildLine L38 to counsel every child or young person who calls you can see why we welcome any saving. We’d like to thank Q-Park for their generosity and for supporting ChildLine Scotland in this way.”
Q-Parks’ Chief Executive Officer (UK Board) Alan Ashbee added: “We are very proud to support ChildLine and delighted that we can help in some way – not just by saving costs, but by ensuring staff have fast, convenient and safe access to their office.”
