Pedivan Expand Last Mile Delivery Hub with Q-Park

Q-Park is delighted to announce that Pedivan Sustainable Delivery are opening a Last Mile Delivery Hub in Q-Park Queensway, this will be the third Q-Park parking facility that they operate within.

Pedivan is a premium delivery service provider driven by the vision to tackle worsening congestion and air pollution by changing the majority of deliveries, collections, and servicing activities to a sustainable green delivery method. With this environmental aspiration in mind, they established a network of micro-hubs across London, including Q-Park Pimlico, Q-Park Harley Street and now Q-Park Queensway.

Q-Park have had a large presence in Central London since 2011 and currently operate 18 parking facilities across the Capital. These include well known locations such as Park Lane, Chinatown and Leicester Square. Since taking over Q-Park have renovated these facilities to meet the Q-Park standard as well as providing security features to keep customers vehicles safe. Q-Park have also been at the forefront of the European Parking industry in the creation of Sustainable Mobility Hubs. The aim is to develop parking facilities into vital instruments to help realise urban accessibility, sustainability and liveability. In addition to car parking, Q-Park are also aiming to provide access for shared mobility schemes, rapid electric fleet charging, last mile delivery and retail space all within their safe and secure parking facilities.

Pedivan delivery riders enter one of their Hubs in a Q-Park facility with the aim of changing the battery on their electric bikes. They have access to a secure area where a large quantity of batteries are already charged, they take a fully charged battery, plug in the one they have used and then carry on their vital service by using the new battery. This process takes just a few minutes so there is little down time on their operation.
