PowerGo's Rapid Charger Energizes Sueca!

PowerGo Fast Charger in Sueca Ramon Dolz Molla (Country Manager PowerGo), Dimas Vázquez (mayor of Sueca municipality) and José García (General Manager +B Energías)

On July 6, the fastest charging station for electric vehicles in Sueca (Valencia) opened, being first of its kind in the area. The 120-kilowatt fast charger from PowerGo is located at the +B Energías gas station. Together with the manager of +B Energías, the mayor of Sueca, and PowerGo, the charging station was officially opened and put into use.

At the PowerGo fast charger, drivers can easily and quickly charge their electric vehicle (EV) with 100% solar energy. The charger is installed at a convenient location, close to the main roads in Sueca. In a short period of time, the EV driver is ready to leave with a full battery. PowerGo will also install charging stations at +B Energías locations in Soria, Verger, Denia and Xativa.

A complete charging solution

The charger in Sueca is not only the fastest charger in the area, but also one of PowerGo’s first chargers in Spain. PowerGo is a growing Charge Point Operator (CPO) with the ambition to roll out a big (fast) charging network in Europe. ‘‘With leading projects in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark, PowerGo is excited to now also welcome users in Spain,’’ tells Ramon Dolz Molla, Country Manager of PowerGo Iberia. ‘’+ B Energías has a good and reliable collaboration with PowerGo. We take the risk of the investment and carry out the entire process of realization. + B Energías can now offer customers and other EV drivers a sustainable and user-friendly fast-charging solution.’’

A complete charging solutionBefore the end of 2023, the law provides that gas stations in Spain must install charging points. José García, General Manager of +B Energías: ‘’+B Energías is very pleased that we already comply with the new regulations, and that we can now offer our customers an extra facility. It is a great advantage for us that PowerGo made the investment and took all the work off our hands.’’

The charger was officially opened by Dimas Vázquez, mayor of the Sueca municipality. ‘’We are very happy with the installation of this fast charging station and the contribution to making this municipality more sustainable. We hope this location serves as an example and that more locations in the municipality will follow, making electric driving easier and attractive to our residents.’’
