Pennsylvania Parking Association Recognizes TimHaahs for Two Outstanding Projects
The Pennsylvania Parking Association recently recognized Timothy Haahs and Associates, Inc. (TimHaahs) for the design of two outstanding mixed-use parking projects. For its 12th annual Awards Competition, the PPA recognized projects that exemplify excellence in parking design, equipment, operations, and construction among the parking industry and the general public.
TimHaahs was named winner of the “New Design Over 1,000 Spaces” category for the design of Atlantic City’s new “The Wave” mixed-use facility, owned by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). “The Wave” is an 1180-space facility that includes 16,000 square feet of ground floor retail, and provides additional parking capacity to support the parking needs of nearby retail, restaurants, residential housing, a Sheraton Hotel, the Atlantic City Convention Center and the Boardwalk Hall entertainment center.
Additionally the TimHaahs-designed Queen Street Station mixed-use facility, a 395-space facility owned by the Red Rose Transit Authority in Lancaster, PA, took home the gold in the “New Design Under 1,000 Spaces” category. Both projects offer a mix of uses to nearby residents, visitors, and commuters, in turn activate the cities’ streets while creating inviting “people places.”
