Drivers Across Eastern Townships Can Now Use Mobile App to Pay for Parking
Passport Canada app enables easier parking payments on the go
The ability to pay for parking with a smartphone is now becoming available in another Québec region, Eastern Townships, where drivers can now use the Passport Canada app at any of the 12,000 parking spaces across key areas of the region. Société Parc-Auto du Québec and Passport, the global leader in mobile payments for parking and transit, have partnered to bring the innovative mobile parking payment solution to the area. The Passport Canada app is also available in other cities in Québec including Montreal and Québec City.
Drivers in Eastern Townships can download the app and pay for parking on-the-go without having to worry about digging for coins or waiting in long lines at the pay station on a cold day. App users can also receive alerts and notifications about their parking sessions, extend their sessions remotely and view all parking history right from the convenience of their phones.
“Passport has been a great partner to our province and has helped us offer an innovative way of paying for parking,” said Bruno Godin, Director Business Development at Société Parc-Auto du Québec. “The Passport Canada app will bring convenience to our customers without having to pay an extra fee for using their mobile phones to pay for parking.”
“The expansion of mobile pay for parking in a third region in Québec is an important milestone for Passport,” said Conor Buckley, client success manager at Passport. “We are proud to extend our operations across the province of Québec and make parking for drivers easier in Eastern Townships.”
Passport Canada is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. The app is available where users see Passport Canada signage. Users can also manage their parking at ppprkca.com.
