Long Beach Launches Mobile Payment App for Waterfront Parking

Passport Parking app simplifies parking payments

Long Beach Launches Mobile Payment App for Waterfront Parking

A day at the beach just got better with the launch of Passport Parking in the City of Long Beach. The mobile app, powered by Passport, the global leader in mobile payments for parking, allows users to pay for parking from their smartphones. Passport Parking can be used at 10 off-street beachfront parking lots from 72nd Place to Pierpoint Landing.

Users download the free Passport Parking app on their smartphones, create an account with a preferred method of payment and enter the zone and space numbers. In addition to paying for parking, users can extend parking sessions remotely so there’s no need to leave the beach. The app also provides parking history and access to receipts.

From the Aquarium of the Pacific to our beautiful beaches, the City of Long Beach is a destination for Californians and out-of-state visitors,” said April Walker, City of Long Beach projects officer. “We want parking to be as easy as possible, so people can get out and enjoy everything that Long Beach has to offer.”

“We are thrilled to be the first mobile payments provider for the City of Long Beach,” said Conor Buckley, client success executive at Passport. “Passport’s best-in-class technology provides a simple way for users to pay for parking.”

The Passport Parking app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at passportparking.com.
