PassportParking® Continues to Expand in Philadelphia Region

Mobile payment app launches on Drexel University’s campus

- Philadelphia, USA
PassportParking® continues to expand in Philadelphia region

Drexel University and Passport announce the launch of the PassportParking® mobile application in select lots across the university’s campus. The mobile application is powered by Passport, the global leader of mobile payments for parking and transit serving transportation operations throughout North America.

The mobile app, which has a growing presence in the Philadelphia area, is also available in the boroughs of Morton, Swarthmore, Phoenixville, Kennett Square and West Chester.

For the first time, students, faculty and visitors at Drexel University will have the option to pay for parking with a mobile application. Signs and decals will be displayed to direct drivers to where the PassportParking app can be used in over 1,500 garage and lot parking spaces.

In addition to being able to pay for parking through the app, users are able to:

  • Extend their sessions remotely
  • Keep track of all parking history
  • Receive notifications
  • Get email receipts

"Our team sought a solution to maximize usage of our parking lots and were interested in a payment solution that would utilize technology to enhance the customer experience,” said Drexel University director of campus services, Joe Russo. “We are confident Passport will help us provide a smooth customer experience for parking.”

We are pleased to partner with Drexel University to offer campus parkers a more convenient and flexible way to pay for parking,” said Passport sales executive, Curtis Morgan. “No more digging for coins or rushing from class to refill the meters; app users can rest assured knowing they can extend their sessions from wherever they may be.”

Drivers can download the free PassportParking app fromthe App Store and Google Play, and parkers can also manage parking online at park.passportparking.com.
