ParkinGO’s Evolution of Mobility
Getmycar Offers Every Vehicle Owner the Opportunity to Enter into the Car Sharing Market
ParkinGO is attempting to combat problems that affect us all such as traffic, pollution, depletion of resources and a reduced quality of life with their latest evolution of mobility project. The culture of car ownership is fading, especially for the new generations, who focus on using the vehicles and not making them myths or status symbols and we’ve entered the age of sharing mobility.
In response to this, ParkinGO have created GetMycar, a service that transforms parking into an opportunity for every vehicle owner. This innovative mobility platform provides financial incentives to anyone who decides to share their car and offers a service to people who, especially at peak periods in certain places, would not easily find a vacant car rental. The platform can also be used by car rental companies as an additional resource to reduce costs or aid carpooling,
ParkinGO invested heavily into the project on the resource side, with the use of their IT team, developers and business developers all drafted in for the project. In Italy, the main challenge was to reinforce the trust of car owners, who were primarily worried about vehicle damage. To address this, the cars are shared exclusively at certified facilities (network car parks, dealers, city car parks), where the state of the vehicles is checked both upon arrival and departure for insurance purposes and in order to avoid scams. ParkinGO are also looking to develop micro-mobility in city centers, with urban tests in Paris, to be able to understand what other means can be integrated with the vehicles.
Sustainability is always at the core of ParkinGO’s ethos and they have moved away from plastic bottles in their vending machines, to offer their branded H2go water in tetrapak packaging. They are also in the trial phase of offering an innovative no water waste car wash ecological solution at their Milan Malpensa facility.
LeaseGo is one of ParkinGO’s latest services within their portfolio that is expected to make life easier for customers. Why buying a car when you can rent one long term? Paying an affordable monthly fee, you don't have to worry about anything else like car taxes, insurance, maintenance, tire change, etc. A range of additional services is also offered, including free parking at the airport. Thanks to the Amazon Lockers, ParkinGO also becomes a service HUB open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which is also useful for workers who commute around airports.
