Innovation Awards
The Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018 Innovation Awards were also announced and two parking companies received an award.
The overall winner was ParkNow with their on-street parking information (OSPI) and in-car payments. OSPI forecasts space availability based on historic traffic flows, parking meter data and transactions from parking apps.
ParkHere also won in the parking category for their self-powered parking sensor. This sensor uses energy-harvesting to produce the energy it needs to send the information to the base station.
As for Parking Network, we had a great time meeting all of our members and several new faces. We would like to thank everyone who came by our booth for the racing simulator, networking drinks and those who walked by just to say hello. We look forward to the next Intertraffic Amsterdam on April 21st to the 24th, 2020!
