Poland, a successful market for Parkeon’s solutions

- Warsaw, Krakow Poland
Parkeon Strada terminals success in Poland

The parking modernization associated with the addition of new user services are two major concerns of Polish cities. With its modular solutions, Parkeon is able to offer customized systems.

Warsaw renews its trust in Parkeon

In 2012 Parkeon won the tender for the installation of 240 Strada terminals in the Polish capital. For 3 years these terminals have tested the banking payment. Very satisfied with the performance of the French company and the quality of equipment, the new operator City Parking Group has entrusted the deployment of 1,450 additional Strada to Parkeon. The commissioning of the terminal, all solar powered and connected to the MyParkfolio Parkeon backoffice, has been completed in July 2015. An alphanumeric keyboard allows drivers to enter their license plate useful for the future control process based on the license plate. The means of payment has been also expanded with the possibility to pay parking by credit card. Today Warsaw is the largest Parkeon installed base in Poland with a total of 1690 parking terminals deployed in the streets for the next 10 years.

High tech parking meters in Krakow

The challenge of Krakow was to provide with an innovative equipment able to offer additional services to the parking payment. The opportunity to display information on the color LCD 7” screen of the solar StradaPAL has immediately aroused the interest of the city. After a very successful pilot, Parkeon has won the tender for the installation of 76 StradaPal. Deployed on the streets since June 2015, the multi-service kiosks have become a new communication tool. The city uses this channel to promote their website. The parking tickets are also becoming media with advertising campaigns printed on the background. Currently the QR code scan available on all tickets pushes users to subscribe online .

The license plate of the user entered on the alphanumeric keypad when buying the parking ticket make the control of tickets easier. Officers have simply to scan the license plate of the parked cars. The information is sent to the server which validates or not the ticket.

Beyond the payment of their parking ticket, users can also pay their fine on the parking terminal. No need to go the city office, motorists can pay their fine by entering the fine number on the alphanumeric keypad of the terminal and pay the amount by credit card.

The comfort and additional services offered by Parkeon solutions enable a greater acceptance of the introduction of paid parking zones in the cities!
