More than just marketing: ParkCloud partners grow into Scandinavia
Known as a parking reservations provider, you might think that ParkCloud is a purely technical supplier. Marketing for parking however is one of the company’s longest standing services, and one that has seen it develop a network of partnerships and marketing channels to boost the visibility of the parking operators collaborating with the company. Most notably, ParkCloud has partnered with the aviation industry, connecting passengers around the world with parking services at their departure airports.
Scandinavian airline Primera Air, for example, chose to partner with ParkCloud and earlier this year launched parking reservations through its own website at 19 different airports around Europe, provided by ParkCloud. The service provides passengers with choice and advance information for parking.
ParkCloud’s partnership business represents an important part of the company’s overall activities, and continues to grow. By providing access to a network of over 1,000 parking facilities, ParkCloud offers huge coverage from launch, with more locations in the future to match each airline’s network.
ParkCloud’s partnership programme also saw the company become the exclusive provider of parking services to Italian rail operator Trenitalia last year, along with partnering with hundreds of travel agents to provide a more complete service to their customers.
Connecting drivers with parking spaces is one of the topics that ParkCloud will address at this year’s Airport Parking Network Event, in Munich in just over a week. The company’s third visit to the event, this year will again see it hosting a workshop, and discussing the possibilities that marketing through aggregators and partnerships can offer an airport parking operator.
