ParkCloud speaks at Italian parking technologies forum
ParkCloud was invited to Rome last week to present its products to the Italian parking industry, at a special forum dedicated to the subject of new technology in parking.
The event, organised by the Italian parking association AIPark, was the first gathering of its kind in Italy, and going forward is slated to be held biennially. Over 50 association members from car park management companies and operators were in attendance, to network with one another and found out more about the services partners and suppliers can offer.
The one-day forum, held on 4th December, focused on new technologies available for both on- and off-street parking, and formally conferred ParkCloud’s membership of AIPark. Presentations throughout the day were given by industry-leading providers, with ParkCloud highlighting its >Direct parking pre-booking engine alongside the recently-upgraded ParkCloud.net, the company’s management system.
Membership of AIPark was first mooted at ParkCloud’s British Embassy event in Rome earlier in 2014, attended by AIPark Secretary General Laurence Bannerman, and complements the company’s growing presence in the Italian market, which includes partnerships with national airline Alitalia, state-owned rail operator Trenitalia and nationwide car park operator Quick No Problem Parking.
In addition to membership with AIPark, ParkCloud remains an active member of parking organisations worldwide, including US-based International Parking Institute and National Parking Association, as well as the UK’s British Parking Association.
