You can’t get closer at Budapest Airport with ParkCloud

All Budapest Airport’s on-site parking facilities are now available across ParkCloud’s network of advance booking portals, offering the airport’s complete range of services to passengers looking to secure a parking space ahead of their journey.

The collaboration between the airport and ParkCloud includes integration with on-site hardware from Designa, global leader in car park management systems and access control equipment. The integration means that automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) is available to customers, in addition to individual barcodes, permitting automated access when scanned at the relevant car park entrance, at any time of night and day.

The car parks on offer suit every traveller: the conveniently located “Terminal” area; “Business” parking with a free shuttle bus; and the “Holiday” and “Holiday Plus” services for longer stays. All are now promoted to ParkCloud’s 500,000 strong customer database, through a network that receives over 10 million visits a year. Advance reservations can now be made in the airport’s native Hungarian, as well as in English and German, with Romanian and Slovakian to follow shortly.

Budapest Airport will benefit from exposure to passengers flying with airlines partnered with ParkCloud, notably Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air, headquartered at the airport and currently offering flights to 35 destinations, used by business and leisure travellers alike. ParkCloud’s partnership with Ryanair meanwhile promotes Budapest Airport’s car parks directly to customers via the booking process on Ryanair.com.

By far the largest airport in Hungary, Budapest Ferenc Liszt Airport attracted over 8.5 million passengers in 2013, and offers flights to over 100 destinations. Over the past few years it has undergone extensive renovations, including the complete refurbishment of its Terminal 2. The airport’s new partnership with ParkCloud is part of an ongoing effort to increase services for customers, as traffic levels continue to increase.
