API - Another ParkCloud Interface!
Introducing ParkCloud’s latest development: Application Programming Interface (API).
Parking is an industry that requires coordination and the integration of many different services and people. Communication is an essential part of the business, and not just between people, but also systems and technology.
Pushing the boundaries of technical development and communication is a very relevant topic for the parking industry, and for ParkCloud, today.
Whilst ParkCloud provides its own management software (ParkCloud.net), many clients have their own systems already in place and want to integrate both these systems and ParkCloud’s services. Whilst this was previously possible through file exchange, ParkCloud wanted to move forward with its integration capabilities, and has therefore developed API technology to allow for better transfer of information with partners.
The API exposes data through an industry-standard REST (XML) service, hosted on a secure end-point. This technology can now be used to connect ParkCloud bookings with systems used by collaborators across Europe, allowing tighter and more efficient integration with ParkCloud’s systems for those who need it.
So what are the benefits of this?
Integration of ParkCloud’s reservations network with customers’ own systems, and updated information about parking bookings when customers need it. Communication becomes tighter and more flexible at the same time.
Of course ParkCloud doesn’t intend to stop here: the next step will be taking this technology further, to open up the ParkCloud platform to affiliates.
