WÖHR at Munich’s BAU 2013 Trade Fair

As customary, Wöhr was present at the BAU 2013 held in Munich with a dynamic and especially appealing stand concept, not only thanks to the extraordinary booth design but also due to the two particularly innovative parking solutions on exhibit.

The new Combiparker 556 was presented with 9 parking slots, 4 parking levels stacked on top of one another plus 3 grids alongside one another. The hot-dip galvanised steel construction reaching a 7.80 m height and the Audi vehicles parked into the system perfectly showcased the considerable technological progresses. The Combiparker 556’s special feature is its adaptability to customised space and location requirements. Due to its adaptable platform width and length and its vehicle height and platform load selection options, the system can be arranged to exactly meet customer requirements.

Ongoing live demonstrations with competent system functions illustrated by the skilled Wöhr personnel attending the event, didn’t only impress the visitors but also captured the attention of international TV stations, as well as both national and international journalists.

The prototype of the new high-design Carport also acted as a veritable crowd-puller, attracting visitors to the stand. This futuristic Carport is an impressive example of the implementation of innovative, digital metal design and metal finishing processes combined with Wöhr’s core competency in sheet metal processing technologies.

Another one of the exhibition themes concerned the future of peripheral and suburban locations. “Our aim is to provide architects and urban planners with new design impulses and innovative design solutions”. Wöhr therefore also had their novelty soundproof walling system on exhibit, ideal for construction between urban residential districts and adjoining freeways. The Slimparker 557 system can be integrated into slim, structural soundproof walling setback-line areas, to provide the local residents with parking space. Through individual or customised design options, the soundproof walling façades work to ensure tangible improvements in quality of life.

The BAU 2013 recorded an overall 235,000 visitor count, of which 60,000 visitors from abroad. Our heartfelt thanks go to our visitors and partners for the enormously keen interest shown during their visit and we are already looking forward to meeting them all again at the next BAU 2015.
