Opcharge Acquires 100% of the Shares in Easycharge, Strengthening Its Position in the Semi-public Market
Opcharge, the Dutch provider of charging solutions for the public and semi-public market, is proud to announce the acquisition of Easycharge, a charging station operator for the semi-public market.
Takeover charging points
The share of electric and hybrid cars in the Netherlands is growing. Consequently, the demand for charging solutions is also increasing. In addition to acquiring all shares in Easycharge, Opcharge is acquiring 500 charging points with a pipeline of another 500 charging points. This addition will enable Opcharge to offer more customers a reliable charging experience and help meet rising demand.
Position semi-public market
Opcharge CEO Cyriel van Bree emphasizes the importance of the acquisition for Opcharge. “With this acquisition we expressly want to strengthen our position in the semi-public landscape, in addition to our activities in the public market. We believe that consolidation can be initiated in the short term due to increased interest rates and limited availability of capital. Without wanting to do this in a forced way, we do expressly look at opportunities to make additional acquisitions.”
