NMI and J.P. Morgan Collaborate to Expand Card-Present Payments Offering in Europe
NMI, a leading global payments enablement technology company, and J.P. Morgan, the #1 acquirer of web transactions in Europe[1] for the sixth year running, will utilize NMI’s portfolio of retail, mPOS, unattended and tap to mobile technologies to serve J.P. Morgan customers in a selection of European countries.
In today’s competitive marketplace and with consumer expectations continuing to evolve as in-store shopping recovers, merchants and their customers require a variety of payment methods across a variety of devices, including:
- Retail: Through traditional handheld and desktop point-of-sale hardware and innovative solutions such as QR codes, NMI’s retail payments stack will allow J.P. Morgan to help merchants transform their business from purely brick-and-mortar to an omnichannel operation.
- Mobile Point of Sale (mPOS): To support merchants beyond the handheld and desktop POS systems, NMI’s mobile applications and hardware will equip J.P. Morgan’s customers with the ability to accept payments on the go.
- Unattended: NMI’s unattended device offerings will enable J.P. Morgan to support clients across this channel.
- Tap to Mobile: As consumers’ desire for touch-free payments accelerate, NMI will empower merchants to accept payments with this latest technology and a simple tap on any Android device, removing the friction and cost for a separate payment terminal.
NMI’s broad range of payment technologies and solutions focusing on contactless enablement, unattended and emerging tap to mobile, can provide J.P. Morgan’s merchant customers with innovative card-present capabilities to support consumers’ needs as they return to stores.
“We are focused on creating new ways for merchants to manage payments and streamline their operations so they can focus on growth,“ said Basil Bailey, Head of Product for EMEA Merchant Services at J.P. Morgan. “This is an important step in our European omnichannel payments journey, and complements the existing suite of products we offer merchants in the region.”
NMI also offers omnichannel processing with solutions to accept cards in whatever ways customers demand. These capabilities will help merchants expand beyond the traditional payment environment and create connected, unified payments.
“NMI is pleased to launch this workstream with J.P. Morgan and to help play a role in enabling retail payments across select markets in Europe,” says Kyle Pexton, President of NMI. “Our proven history of delivering global unified commerce enablement solutions coupled with our deep card-present expertise will assist J.P. Morgan’s merchant clients to quickly meet the dynamic needs of today and for the future.”
