Computer to plate (CTP) is an imaging technology, which is adapted to the digital workflow: It connects the digital world with print media and is widely used in modern printing processes. An image created in a Desktop Publishing (DTP) application is transferred without using a film directly to a printing plate. Compared to the older CTF (computer to film) technology, where the computer file was copied onto a photographic film, this film was used to produce a printing plate.
Non-polluting ticket production
In CTP, the transfer of the film image to the printing plate is removed from the printing process, because no more films or related developer chemicals are required. This is environmentally friendly and saves valuable resources and raw materials. In addition, printing plates can be produced more consistently in less time and at lower costs.
Defects due to dust, scratches or other artifacts are minimized. Last but not least, the print data as well as the plates can be stored for subsequent or repetitive jobs this allows a just in time production.
The results speak for themselves: Razor-sharp printed high end results with high grid resolution on parking and event tickets all over the world. This is Nagels - the global ticket specialist.
