Czech Mate!

UK tourists to some of the most historic sites around the Czech Republic may recognise a familiar sight in the form of METRIC’s parking terminals. The British manufacturer has been working with Czech distributor, Parking Pro, who installed the parking machines at these tourist locations including three stunning castles – Chateau Kuks, Chateau Kacina and Castle Kokorin – as well as the rock labyrinths in Tisa.

Across the sites, the terminals are coins only and powered by either solar or mains. At Chateau Kacina, the METRIC Elite LS is equipped with a twin printer, a unique feature to this terminal, to allow for different types of services. The left hand printer dispenses tickets and receipts for coach parking, bathroom access and also surcharge parking (paying for a fine); while the right hand printer dispenses parking tickets for cars and motorcycles.
