Multiple customers have been scammed out of their deposit while Liigu is going through a liquidation process. I’ve been trying to get my deposit back for the last 4 weeks. I’ve received numerous vague emails as to why they haven’t refunded my deposit. I finally received this today Dear Ann Marie, We are aware of the need to return your deposit. The only extra charge associated with your booking is a refuelling fee in the amount 87.5€. We have initiated the liquidation process of the company because Liigu OÜ has been unable to fulfill its business plan due to slower-than-expected growth in the rental market, failure to meet sales targets, and the excessive costs of owning the vehicle fleet. We are returning the vehicles that were used by Liigu (including those used by you) to our partner. The vehicle owner will inspect the condition of the vehicles, and a report on any damages will be presented to Liigu. The process of returning the vehicles and checking their condition is expected to last until December 2024. This significantly affects Liigu’s financial situation and its ability to return the deposit to you. It may happen that Liigu will not be able to refund the deposit in full.
