Doncaster Council Put Payment Machines Back into RingGo-only Car Parks
Following a two-year period in which customers have been limited to only one payment option, the car park users of Chappell Drive in Doncaster have returned to state of choice on how to pay for parking. Doncaster Council have re-introduced payment machines accepting coins and contactless payment technology from IPS.
Richard Boultbee, Executive Director at IPS said “Providing a choice on how to pay for any product or service is an expectation and a good customer experience. People are becoming far more savvy about who keeps their personal data, and being forced into it just to pay for parking is probably seen as a step too far for most. Our technology allows operators like Doncaster Council to more easily provide their customers with an alternative fast cashless payment, and with contactless technology already in most people’s pocket, it makes perfect sense”.
