More parking convenience by introducing license plate recognition

Visitors to the municipal car parks in Enschede can now enter and exit parkings a lot faster after introducing a parking system with license plate recognition. Contactless payment also provides greater ease of use in garages.

With the new parking system of IP Parking visitors get a parking ticket from the machine at the entry barrier. The license plate number is then printed on the ticket. Upon return, the visitor pays for the ticket. The new system no longer requires drivers to offer a paid parking ticket at the exit as the barrier opens automatically based on the license plate.
