Tradelec Becomes InTouch

Tradelec, the Belgian company that develops software applications for cities and police zones, has ambitious plans for 2019. Not only have they implemented an identity change, they have also moved their offices to the DronePort campus. Moreover, they will enter the international market.

InTouch software focuses on parking in the city, enforcement and permits. These smart city solutions give cities and police zones more breathing space and make it more pleasant to move in and around a city. Although Tradelec has built a solid reputation in this sector for many years, they now consciously opt for a new identity and image with InTouch.

Tom De Winne, Chief Operations Officer, explains why: “Tradelec initially focused on automation in the industry, with a focus on electronics. After that, the company specialized in applications for enforcement and parking control. Today, the market has become more mature and integrated mobility solutions are expected, in which user-friendliness for city and police officers, but also for residents, is central. Our new name underlines this.”

DronePort Encourages Cross-Pollination

They also opted for renewal for their head office. Since last month, InTouch has been based at DronePort, which is no coincidence. DronePort, located at Sint-Truiden airport, is the hotspot for start-ups and scale-ups in the mobility sector. Mark Vanlook, managing director of DronePort, is delighted with the arrival of InTouch: “With 25 employees, InTouch is the largest company that we now house on our campus. We also notice that our companies often engage in cross-pollination, which really reinforces the community. We therefore closely follow the strong plans of InTouch.”

Further Anchoring in Belgium, then International Steps

InTouch is already dreaming of their next move. For example, they want to expand internationally and also create a positive impact in urban environments abroad. Astrid Thienpont, Chief Growth Officer, hints: “We are convinced of our solutions and notice that there is also a lot of potential outside the national borders. After all, with our software we contribute to life in the city of today and tomorrow. It's not for nothing that our tagline is “unlock urban potential”. As far as we are concerned, we will do that worldwide soon.”
