Smart Parking by HUB for the Merlata Bloom Shopping Mall

The #MerlataBloom shopping center in Milan's northwest quadrant was inaugurated yesterday, at the center of one of Europe's largest urban transformation projects. HUB Italia is proudly part of it!

The structure hosts more than 200 signs, big national and international names, and 43 food & beverage concepts, for more than 70000 square meters of retail space. Impressive numbers, to which are added a total of 3000 parking spaces divided into Parking East and Parking West.

The two multi-storey areas were built from scratch this year, and HUB's integrated solution oversees their entrance and exit lanes, five floors, and centralized control room, offering facility management staff the most effective and timely management of the entire facility. The project in numbers:

• 5 floors over 2 areas
• 10 entrance lanes
• 10 exit lanes
• 21 SELEA license plate reader cameras in all lanes
• 800+ QUERCUS intelligent ceiling-mounted occupancy sensors on all floors
• 24 internal redirection displays (parking guidance)
• 19 APS automated pay stations with FindMyCar function, near elevators and escalators
• 2 manual fee computers
• 1 centralized control room with JMS management software

A special feature of this project is the integration of the place guidance system (parking guidance) with the automated checkout, with FindMyCar functionality, which allows visitors to find their parking space by typing in the letters of the license plate on the touch display, displaying the corresponding photo (taken by the LPR cameras) and an indication of the location of the stall. As well as, of course, paying for parking!
