Going Underground with HUB: Piazza Dante Compact Multi-Storey Parking in Teramo, Italy

While that may not apply to all the towns out there, it surely does to Teramo, Italy, where SO.CA.BI. SpA has partnered with HUB Italia to renew the multi-storey underground parking lot in Piazza Dante.

The car park serves citizens and businesses nearby, providing a high level of service through LPR and digital technology, and the most compact footprint downtown.

The new integrated access control and parking regulation system is an exemplary deployment of 4.0 technology. Through JMS tile-based dashboard, the parking staff manages:

• Entrance and Exit lanes with license plate recognition technology
• Jupiter slim stations with credit card, QR code scan
• Prepaid subscriptions and digital access (smartphones, parking app)

The modular configuration of the system results in reduced energy costs, thus facilitating SO.CA.BI. to deploy a strong focus on the environmental impact produced by operational processes, according to ESGR parameters.
