Kent’s Future Generation Services Acquired by Holiday Extras - A New Era of Tech Innovation Begins
Holiday Extras are thrilled to announce that it is turbocharging its technology portfolio by acquiring Future Generation Services (FGS), a trailblazer in self-service technology based in Kent. This marks the Groups third major investment into global technology businesses this year, reinforcing its dedication to ‘making travel easy’ for partners and customers worldwide.
If you have ever breezed through airport parking with 'Meet & Greet', 'Drop & Go', or 'Valet' services, then you've likely encountered the convenience of Holiday Extras ParkIT software. For over a decade, FGS has been complementing ParkIT by developing queue busting ticket kiosks and key lockers that ensure every trip is seamless for travelers. By joining forces it allows Holiday Extras to further fuse FGS’s innovative hardware with ParkITs pioneering software, delivering new products and increasing airport parking capacity across the globe.
The 100% acquisition of FGS enables the Holiday Extras group to commit further investment in the team and their renowned innovation capabilities, ensuring substantial benefits for FGS customers, existing and new. The Group will keep the existing FGS offices in Rochester and continue to collaborate with the highly skilled FGS team, with founder Delroy Marks remaining as an integral part of the team.
Delroy Marks, who has cultivated FGS into a center of excellence and innovation, commented on the acquisition:
“Working with ParkIT and the Holiday Extras Group for over ten years has been a fulfilling experience, grounded in shared values that have championed collaboration and helped us to grow our businesses together. I’m looking forward to working with the group over the coming years to further grow our markets and solutions.”
Oli Ashford, Managing Director of ParkIT, said,
“We’ve worked closely with the FGS team in Rochester to deliver solutions for airports across the globe and their technology has become an important part of our business and long-term strategy. I’m excited to have them onboard and together, we can continue to simplify travel, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional service standards for millions of travellers each year."
