Intertraffic 2008 was a great success for Hectronic

Once again, Intertraffic in Amsterdam lived up to its reputation as the worlds most important parking industry trade fair. Nearly 24,000 visitors swarmed through the halls over the four days, catching up with all the latest trends and developments. And Hectronic was at full tilt too.
Inter_Stand.jpgHectronics brightly coloured stand was a real eyecatcher and focal point at Intertraffic.

Was it the bright colours of the Hectronic stand? Was it the fantastic caricaturist Joep Buijs? Or was it the outstanding quality of our parking ticket machines? Probably a combination of all three, or to put it another way: each visitor had his or her own favourite aspect. After all, the motto of the stand was:The large variety of Hectronic.

Inter_Drei.jpgGuests can come. The trio of Hectronic with Burkhard Schmidt, Stefan deBoor and Robert Jokiel is ready for talks.

The theme of the stand was the artists studio and Head of Marketing Stefan Kech was delighted at how well it was received, commenting that its striking appearance and combination of information and communication proved ideal. He described the layout as follows: On one side were the parking ticket machines and a presentation of the various software modules and on the other was a bar where one could have a relaxed chat over a cup of coffee or a beer. And wherever one looked there were hordes of visitors. A frequently heard comment during the four days was: The parking ticket machines look great.
Inter_Stand.jpgA delight to the eye: the CITEA in red from top to bottom.
Of course that was partly because of the bright colours in which the CITEA was presented. Talking to our visitors, however, it became more than clear that Hectronics new products were an all-round success. We received a lot of compliments on the design, thrilled Project Manager Ulrich Frey, who had played a key role in its development. Looks are one thing but functionality is another. Here too, however, our new family of products scored well. The mood of the Hectronic team was correspondingly relaxed. The tension is always particularly high when youre presenting a new product, admitted Managing Director Stefan Forster, who was in attendance on each of the four days of the trade fair. This makes us all the happier that the CITEA is going down so well. All the hard work seems to have paid off the proof is the response to the machines at the trade fair and the first few installations.
Indeed the two CITEA models Smart and PIN and the Cashless and Multibay versions satisfy all the demands of modern parking management.

Quality, then, of the kind Hectronic has been vouching for for many years. And this is also expected to be reflected in future sales figures. Stefan Forster is full of optimism: Were placing great hope in CITEA and without wishing to lose our sense of reality, we want to create an international sensation with it in collaboration with our partners. Intertraffic lasts four days, and for many people this means four days spent almost exclusively in the exhibition centre. The need for a little diversion is therefore great and this too was provided by Hectronic in the form of the traditional Hectronic Evening at the end of the second day. Partners, customers and the Hectronic team all made their way by bus to the restaurant De jonge Dikkert.

This former windmill, which was moved inland from its original location by the river a number of years ago, provided the perfect atmosphere for a friendly get-together. The food was excellent too, even if, in honour of nouvelle cuisine, it was unlikely to make anyone fat as the name De jonge Dikkert (The Young Fatty) might suggest. Fortunately, no one wanted to pile on the pounds anyway. It was a delightful evening that meshed perfectly with a totally successful trade fair.
