Hectronic - Swedish Success
In the west of Sweden, a company called Västtrafik is a local public transport operator. Their opjective was to find a reasonably priced and techniacally acceptable alternative to costly cashier operated ticket desks.
A perfect solution to this was found with the Hectronic Citea parking ticket machines equipped with an EMV approved reader with PinPad and Eyedols. Citea machines are modified with special tickets and fares so Västtrafik can provide the machines at several locations for customer use throughout spring, summer and autumn. The machines can be both solar and mains powered. In winter, the solar-powered ticket machines can be easily stored in a dry location thanks to their mobile concrete foundations.
The machines are used for the sale of rail and ferry tickets and are used particularly intensively by the tourist trade during the summer months. The machines also have a language selection: German, English, Norwegian and Swedish. Tickets are made of special synthetic paper as they can be easily damaged during travel. Even the ticket design is specially adapted to the requirements of the transport operator.
Our distribution partner Modul-System Sweden AB will be supporting this project on a 3-year leasing and full-service agreement.
