Company offers broad product portfolio / advantages also for customers
The companies Hectronic and EDV-SOS are going to join forces in future. For this purpose, Hectronic takes over the majority of shares in the Austrian specialist company for checkout systems and autofuel terminals. EDV-SOS, however, will retain its company seat in Linz and continue to do business as usual. But from now on under strategic guidance from Hectronic. Both companies are family-owned. Hectronic managed by Managing Director Stefan Forster and about 250 employees has its head office in Bonndorf/Germany and subsidiaries in France/Paris, Polen/Tschenstochau, Switzerland/Brugg and India/Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai. Economic contacts around the globe are a testimony to the companys international orientation. In addition to the parking range the expert has a broad product range for autofuel systems. EDV-SOS is based in Linz and employs twelve members of staff. A modern checkout system as well as adaptable autofuel systems are the main products of the company managed by Managing Director Franz Lettner. Additionally, the company also offers various services including a 24 hour hotline and software updates. EDV-SOS concentrates on the German speaking territories with a focus on Austria.
Synergies for both companies
Both companies expect clear synergies. Hectronic can again offer a complete product portfolio in the refuelling range. Autofuel systems for every filling station, pump, tank gauging, automatic vehicle recognition, different software solutions as well as station and fleet cards with according provider service are now complemented by one important partner: the established EDV-SOS checkout system. "From now on Hectronic has truly an all round service offer which leaves nothing to be desired", says Hectronic's Managing Director Stefan Forster. Also Franz Lettner emphasizes the positive effects of the new entity. "We are now part of an internationally acting company and find ourselves on solid ground."
Talking was the foundation for trust
Both companies agree that now it is important to make the most of each of the company's strong points - promising effects are expected in various areas. "And we are sure that we will learn from each other when handling the various tasks ahead of us," says Stefan Forster with conviction. New markets geographically as well as strategically are also very clear on the horizon. This became apparent in the last few months and in the many conversations that were had. These conversations especially were thoroughly positive right from the start, emphasizes both Stefan Forster as well as Franz Lettner. Both sides discussed all areas openly which created a foundation of trust which is necessary for working together.
Partner co-operations remain unchanged for Austria
No doubt, there will be changes due to this partnership. However, the fundamental principles will remain since they have proved their worth. "EDV-SOS has not changed into a pure Hectronic subsidiary, but is part of the Hectronic group with a special range of activities," clarifies Stefan Forster. Hectronic will hence continue to work with existing local partners in Austria. "There will be no interference."

Actually, the customers will benefit from this new line-up, this is very apparent for all responsible. More know-how consolidated and even more products from one source, this makes a truly attractive overall package. An important step into the future for both companies.
