Free2Move and Trust Motors Group Strengthen Their Presence in the Rental Market in Romania

Since the end of 2022, Free2move's growth project in South-Eastern Europe has been gradually consolidated, and materialized with an increase in its operational activities observed since the spring of 2023. An in-depth field study has made it possible to unveil significant business opportunities in this market thanks to synergies with importers of Stellantis brands present in the different countries of the zone: Slovenia, Greece, Romania. These are the first markets in which Free2move started to build a solid foundation.

Free2Move Rent will be present in Romania exclusively through IMAG, part of the Trust Motors group

The dealer network of Trust Motors is the importer in Romania for Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobile and Opel. It has more than 30 years of sales and after-sales experience with more than 131,000 cars sold and covers 29 major cities in Romania (93% of market sales). The group's activity revolves around import and retail, full logistics services and automotive-related activities, with an annual turnover of 244 million euros. Thanks to the agreement signed with Free2move, the development of the activity will take place through two main channels: a partnership channel, represented by a sub-license for B2B and B2C activities, and own branches in the 5 main Romanian airports, focused on B2C activity.

IMAG aims to be in the top 5 of the main mobility players in Romania, providing short and long-term solutions to its customers: from car rental to operational rental contracts with full service.

The customers targeted by Free2Move Rent in Romania are represented by the distribution network managed by Trust Motors, local and multinational companies, leasing companies, especially for replacement cars and short-term contracts, foreign tourists and travelers business people and, finally, expatriate Romanian workers who visit their families for Christmas, Easter or the summer holidays.
