Portier HOST wins the 2016 Gulf Traffic Award!

The award winning project was the parking guidance of Kalmar, Sweden which was supplied by FLS and our local partner Blinkfyrar AB. System connects all the off-street parking areas of the city to our Portier HOST cloud server which calculates the amount of free parking spaces in each area. Data is submitted to the guidance displays within the street network so that the drivers have a real-time information about the availability of parking spaces in different areas.

Novelty of the solution is that all the parking areas and guidance displays have been directly connected to the HOST cloud server without any local hardware or software. This represents a completely new approach in parking management and will be the future trend embracing the Internet-of-Things technology and the opportunities it provides.
