Cambridgeshire County Council Brings in Flowbird’s YourParkingSpace Mobile Payment Solution, as Part of Unique Multi-Vendor Parking Strategy

Flowbird UK’s mobile parking payment solution - YourParkingSpace - has been selected for deployment by Cambridgeshire County Council. The move is part of a unique multi-vendor approach to offer motorists in Cambridgeshire more ways to pay for parking quickly and securely.

The contract will see YourParkingSpace go live across the county.

The approach is unique in that Cambridgeshire County Council wanted a multi-vendor solution to give users more choices. Vehicle drivers in Cambridgeshire can now pay with both YourParkingSpace, and with the existing payment solution, RingGo. They can also still pay with cash, card, or mobile at Flowbird’s many payment terminals.

YourParkingSpace offers a faster payment system without any convenience fees. For those who prefer using an app, it means drivers now have the choice between YourParkingSpace and RingGo.

The contract is the first large scale introduction of YourParkingSpace since the brand was acquired by Flowbird in 2022.

Many drivers complain that they have to download different apps for different car parks, or that they have to pay fees in some apps but not others. Many just want their app of choice to work wherever they go. Others just want to turn up and pay easily. Councils can support drivers by providing options and letting drivers choose. Cambridgeshire County Council is pioneering this.”

Drivers will find the option to pay by mobile using YourParkingSpace presented at over 200 kiosks within Cambridgeshire.
