Telia + EasyPark: Making smart technology accessible to all drivers

On board device, Telia Sense, went on sale in November 2016 with partnerships including Folksam, Bilia, Swedish Motor Vehicle Inspection and Roadside Assistance Viking. The company recently announced an expansion of this cooperation to include smart parking service provider, EasyPark.

EasyPark’s smart parking services already help drivers to find and pay for parking in 500 cities in 10 different countries. TeliaSense customers will soon be able to start parking with the EasyPark app, and their parking session will automatically stop once they exit the lot. This eliminates the risk of accidentally overpaying for parking.

Through Telia Sense, the car owner gets access to a range of features which control the car, connection via wifi and access to offers from Telia's partners. By joining the platform, providers can offer their services via the Telia Sense app interface as well as take part of the car's data to develop new services. Car owners are able to choose what information they share via the product.
