EasyPark and Toogethr Start a Cooperation
Element Offices De Goeman in Utrecht Is the First Location That Has Been Set Live
The cooperation between EasyPark and Toogethr is aimed at helping companies to deal with the parking issue more efficiently by, among other things, opening up business parking spaces for private use. EasyPark customers can visit cities more easily and affordably.
The Goeman, managed by Element Offices, is a lively environment in the center of Utrecht that offers flexible workplaces to a diversity of companies, ranging from startups to law firms and SMEs. At the same time, it is a place where local residents come together and it is a hotspot for visitors to the center.
“The Goeman is an office building with a vibrant Business Center where many different target groups come together,” says Robbert Sanders, CMO at Toogethr. “Filesees, neighborhood residents, restaurant guests, visitors to the physiotherapist and the law firm; all these people have access to the parking lot. With the tenants, steps have already been taken to organize the parking spaces as efficiently as possible. Element Offices also wants to make the most of the parking spaces, even when it is less crowded in the building.”
Local Residents Benefit
Michael Stark, Country Director of the Netherlands of EasyPark: “In the evenings and the weekend, these types of locations have to deal with a surplus of parking spaces that are empty. While, for example, day trippers can quickly find an available and centrally located parking space in the city. Neighbors can also benefit from this. By giving them a place here, more efficient use can be made of already existing and available space, which positively contributes to the accessibility, living space and liveability of the city.”
The collaboration between EasyPark and Toogethr at the location of Element Offices De Goeman is a good example of how existing parking facilities can be arranged much more efficiently. Michael Stark: “It is precisely by partnering with each other and connecting our technologies, we make much more efficient use of existing parking facilities, making dozens of parking spaces available and leaving more space for the residents in the city.”
Automatic Number Recognition
Motorists find, park and pay via the EasyPark app, after which the location is arranged via license plate recognition. ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) ensures that the barrier opens automatically upon arrival and departure. As soon as the vehicle registration number is recognized and in this case links to the app, the barrier opens itself. The parking transaction also stops automatically when leaving the parking lot, the payment is via the app.
