EasyPark Group Launches Parking Art on the Streets of Stockholm
In partnership with local curator Jonas Kleerup and artist Slobodan Zivic, EasyPark Group recently transformed the streets of Stockholm into a public gallery to highlight the issue of urban congestion in the city.
Over 83% of Stockholmers have experienced traffic and infrastructure problems in the city, and parking search time has a big impact upon congestion. Together with Jonas Kleerup and Slobodan Zivic, EasyPark Group parked cars around the streets of Stockholm, covering them with the message “Andas” which means “breathe” in Swedish.
By highlighting urban congestion, EasyPark hoped to remind people that the problem is everyone’s responsibility and that everyone must work together to solve it.
“It’s a kind of a public guerrilla art activity, where the city becomes the gallery or showroom and the cars become the artwork” said Jonas Kleerup.
