EasyPark Launches Renewed Parking App With European Coverage

One app for parking in almost all of Europe. Never forget a parking action again thanks to ‘Live Activities’. And, parking with Apple Watch, and paying via Apple Pay and Google Pay.

The Start/Stop system, which is popular with the Dutch, where users can start and stop a parking session whenever they want, has not changed.

Renewed EasyPark app makes parking in Europe easier. EasyPark is launching a renewed app today with a multitude of new features. The improved app is the first in the Netherlands that allows users to park with the same account in their own country and in more than 20 European* countries and over 4,000 European cities where EasyPark is active.

Phone using the EasyPark appThe app now better meets the needs of almost 3 million Dutch users, with more options for starting and stopping a parking session, so that users of the app can decide for themselves what is easiest for them.

Michael Stark, Country Director of EasyPark Netherlands is pleased with the possibilities that EasyPark now offers its users. “We have listened carefully to user feedback, analysed app data and looked at functionalities that work well abroad. Whether you are in your own city or travelling abroad, drivers want to arrive at their destination, find a parking space and pay without any hassle. Our app offers this and makes it easier than ever for every user.”

Never Forget a Parking Session Again

The Start/Stop system, which is popular with the Dutch, where users can start and stop a parking session whenever they want, has not changed. A new feature is the ‘Live Activities’ notification that can be seen on the access screen of the mobile phone. For the time being, this is a specific iOS function. With this notification, iOS users can see at a glance whether a parking session is active. This is an important new addition that ensures that users do not forget to end ongoing parking sessions and pay too much. Android users can - for the time being - be reminded of ongoing parking sessions via push notifications and SMS.

Stress-Free Parking With Our App

“By continuously developing our app, we make parking easier. People are going somewhere but do not want to think about the parking session. Nobody wants to stress if you have to go to a business meeting, have a nice day at the beach or visit a football match.” -Michael Stark, Country Director of EasyPark Netherlands

Time Setting via the Wheel

In addition to the Start/Stop system, users can still use the option to set an end time immediately at the start of a parking session, with the option to extend the parking session in the meantime or stop it earlier. “For users who want to know the costs in advance, this is an indispensable function in the renewed app. A new feature is the intuitive wheel with which this can be set. This is a function that is often used in other countries because of its ease of use,” says Stark.

Familiar functions of the EasyPark app are the automatic license plate recognition and the addition of extra license plates. With the additional advantage that no costs are now charged for the latter.

Parking and Charging for Electric Vehicles

A new functionality is being made available for electric drivers, with which both the parking and the charging session can be paid for simultaneously. The function is already in the renewed app and will be made more accessible in the near future. Development of this is in full swing. With the growing number of EV drivers and the need for hassle-free parking and charging, EasyPark is in talks with partners and is working to rapidly expand this network.

*The EasyPark app is not yet available in the UK. To park in the UK, the RingGo app can be used.
