Digitalisation of parking takes Europe by storm

Recent figures released by EasyPark Group show rapid growth in the rate of digital parking’s across Europe during the past 12 months, increasing to almost 70 per cent across the group for the third consecutive year.

Younger markets such as Germany, Austria, Spain and Italy have experienced the most substantial growth, at well over 100 per cent. The more established Nordic countries continued their third year of momentum, with Norway leading the way slightly before Denmark and Finland, both of which celebrated achieving 100 per cent coverage in 2016.

According to EasyPark Group CEO, Johan Birgersson, 2017 is set to be another outstanding year for the company, as more European cities and parking operators embrace digitalization of their parking services.

“The momentum we have built over the past three years will continue to drive growth in 2017. This year we will expand our extensive on-street and off-street coverage network even further as our service becomes available in selected cities in France, so motorists can use our service almost anywhere in central Europe,” he said.
