Can EasyPark Group’s New Parking Dashboard Really Deliver?
EasyPark Group has set a rapid pace of innovation and development this year, with recent announcements of two brand new services (Find & Pay and Parking Dashboard). With both products being rolled out simultaneously across Europe at a time of rapid expansion for the company, EasyPark’s CEO, Johan Birgersson, explained that an innovative concept is not enough to bring new products to market that actually deliver real value.
“A great idea alone can’t ensure a company is able to deliver on its promises – there needs to be a system in place which enables success. We’ve created a strong methodology which guides every action we take, including a scalable platform to support all of our products,” he said.
Find & Pay is an in-app service which guides drivers along the optimal route to find parking close to their destination. EasyPark’s Parking Dashboard is a parking management tool which provides cities and parking operators with unparalleled insights and a comprehensive overview of the current parking situation in their city, which is currently being rolled out across existing EasyPark markets.
Birgersson went on to emphasize the importance of establishing robust procedures when developing new products or services.
“Maintaining a sophisticated product development lifecycle is essential to minimizing any issues that arise in production. Our product development strategy coupled with a proven track record demonstrates EasyPark’s capability to continue delivering outstanding services for our customers,” he said.
Carolina Hellström, Engagement Director at BearingPoint, led an external team of management and technology business specialists who recently assessed EasyPark’s methods and systems.
“EasyPark has a well thought through methodology to deliver their platform. The tight connection between business and IT, including IT Production enables them to be truly agile in their product development and to adjust based on business outcome. We also concluded in our assessment that EasyPark has been delivering on their plans historically which strengthens our view of the company as being able to deliver on their promises with regards to their platform/products.”
Birgersson welcomed the comments from BearingPoint.
“I’m so proud of what we have managed to build together over the past decade, EasyPark today represents the culmination of many years of hard work from a highly dedicated team. Cities and parking operators should know that they can rely on us to lead the delivery of world-class services going forward,” concluded Birgersson.
