Europe’s largest mobile parking payment app has arrived in the Netherlands
Europe's most awarded mobile paid parking app, EasyPark, today announced it has expanded its services to include the Netherlands. On-street parking is already available in almost 600 cities, and contracts are in place with about 100 parking operators making parking seamless for drivers across countries, including neighboring Germany, Austria, France, Spain, and Italy.
Andre Wielaard, Country Manager EasyPark Netherlands and board member of Vexpan, the Dutch parking association, made the announcement during the European Parking Association’s annual congress, this year fittingly hosted in Rotterdam.
Wielaard said that EasyPark is off to a strong start in the Netherlands already, with availability in more than 80 cities across the country and set to achieve 100% on-street coverage before end of this year.
“We are more than just another parking app on the market. We’re bringing the next wave of innovation to The Netherlands. Starting today, we already have complete coverage in all the major Dutch cities, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht, among countless others,” he said.
Johan Birgersson, CEO of EasyPark Group, says EasyPark’s coverage will save Dutch motorists more time and effort when traveling abroad, eliminating the need to register for multiple parking services when using the EasyPark app across borders but also promises a superior user experience in general.
“Unlike the local competition, EasyPark is the only app that warns you if you forgot to stop the parking session, minimising the risk of accidentally overpaying, but drivers will discover more such smart features. Soon we will also take you to available space on-street, something no other app can offer. We also pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service, which is why we score a total customer satisfaction level of 90 percent, and a net promoter score of about 60,” he said.
A full-service digital parking company
EasyPark already delivers a range of additional services to parking operators, cities, and motorists. The EasyPark app already allows electric vehicle drivers to locate and pay for charging in other markets, as well as Automatic Plate Number Recognition technology to access gated car parks, both services which Birgersson eventually plans to roll out in the Netherlands. Additionally, the Stockholm-company provides in-car solutions with leading car manufacturers, which could also benefit Dutch drivers in the future.
Available for both Andriod and iOS devices, drivers in the Netherlands can download EasyPark from the App Store and Google Play Store starting today, registration is free. EasyPark also works in 12 different languages.
Win-win-win for cities and operators
EasyPark’s vision is to create more livable cities, and to achieve this we have developed a framework called Parking Excellence. That means helping motorists quickly find available parking spaces, remotely manage and pay for them, while also helping cities channel on-street parking pressure in congested areas towards off-street lots, maximising garage occupancy for parking operators without losing any of their own revenue.
