EasyPark Claims Largest Mobile Paid Parking Coverage in Italy with Acquisition of Sostafacile

EasyPark Group today announced it would expand its extensive European coverage network even further, with the acquisition of Italian mobile parking payment system, Sostafacile. Through the acquisition, EasyPark gains distribution in an additional 49 cities, on top of the existing 150 EasyPark cities in Italy today, which gives the company the largest mobile paid parking coverage in the country.

Country Manager of EasyPark Italy, Giovanni Laudicina, says that the acquisition of Sostafacile represents a significant milestone for the company. “Today marks an important step forward for EasyPark Group, as we are now able to significantly increase EasyPark’s distribution density across the northern region of Italy. We remain focused on delivering the best service possible to our customers and this acquisition demonstrates our total commitment to investing in that vision,” he said.

Laudicina added that the acquisition represents a huge benefit to Italian motorists everywhere. “The consolidation of Italy’s two largest mobile parking payment services under the one brand means that together we will have more resources, the very best coverage and ultimately a better service for all our users,” he said.

The deal follows the completed integration of Mobile City, acquired 11 months ago, which has seen a rapid expansion for EasyPark into Germany, Austria and France. As with Mobile City, Sostafacile’s tens of thousands of users will soon be migrated over to the EasyPark platform, giving them access to a service that works across more of Italy, as well as Spain, Germany, Austria, France and the Nordic countries.

EasyPark CBDO, Mauritz Börjeson, anticipates the migration process will be completed within a few months.
