ScreenTag: The sticker that's a transponder
Transponders for contact-free vehicle identification are nothing new. Nor is one of the main disadvantages of active models: They need electricity, and sooner or later the batteries are empty - normally when it is least expected. ScreenTag is a passive transponder and therefore needs no power supply, and hence no batteries - and is also particularly clever
In reality ScreenTag is only a sticker that is attached to the inside of the windscreen. It couldn't be simpler. From there it can be read at a distance of up to four metres - by contrast with many other solutions which have only a very limited range and hence restrict the comfort of the season parker.
Thanks to its passive and simple design, ScreenTag is very inexpensive, completely maintenance-free and individually printed can also act as an advertising medium. Once attached it can't be lost - and can't change cars because any attempt to remove it would inevitably lead to its destruction. Misuse is therefore ruled out from the outset.
As with all the other transponder systems, ScreenTag* offers the season parker a number of advantages: The rapid entry and exit without having to drive the vehicle round to the ticket slot and the generally simpler use are just two of these. Further information is available from your personal Designa contact, or send for further information by e-mail to sales@designa.com.
*Technical data: scanning range up to 4 m, protection class IP65, operating temperature -20 to +70 C, dimensions 85x54x1 mm (WxHxD)
