PM ABACUS at Mid Valley Megamall in Malaysia

The Mid Valley Megamall is located in the heart of the Malaysian metropolis Kuala Lumpur. With an area of more than 710,000 square meters, it is the largest shopping mall in Malaysia and one of the biggest in Asia. With in total about 230,000 square meters of retail space, 11,000 chargeable parking bays (and additional 3,000 in the end of 2008) as well as three hotels with in total up to 1,600 rooms the Mid Valley Megamall belongs to the most modern business and commercial properties in the world. Since the opening in 1999 the Mid Valley City has steadily grown and expanded. The recent major addition is called Mid Valley Gardens and is a combination of a hotel with 500 rooms, rental apartments and an 82,000 square meters office building. All 14,000 parking bays will be equipped with the PM ABACUS which will replace the current system. After completion of the Gardens in 2008 the car park will be equipped with about 200 terminals. The delivery of the first phase has begun and the completion is scheduled for September 2007. The project will be realised in cooperation with DESIGNAs partner in Malaysia Dominion Technologies.
