The implementation of this solution allows drivers to access the largest parking lot at the Borkum pier Pl without the hassle of tickets. How does it work? Quite simply: through automatic license plate recognition. Instead of stopping at the barrier and searching for a parking ticket, drivers simply approach the barrier, and a camera captures the license plate. Within seconds, the barrier opens automatically, allowing the driver to comfortably enter the parking lot.

After a relaxing stay on the island of Borkum, leaving the parking lot is just as straightforward. At one of the new Designa CONNECT PAY terminals, drivers enter their license plate, pay the required amount with a card or in cash, and then drive up to the barrier. The camera scans the license plate again, and the barrier opens for the exit. It has never been easier to make parking a pleasant part of the journey!
